So yesterday was good.  We had a big family dinner that my stepmom prepared.  Turkey, ham, sweet potatoes with marshmallows on top, stuffing, mashed potatoes... all the good stuff!  After dinner was a little annoying. Stepmom decided she needed to hand wash every single dish before anyone could open presents.  Now, I understand not wanting to walk into a big messy kitchen, but it's not like we didn't help put things away, is it really necessary to do ALL the cleaning up right away??  I think it's a control thing.  She kept saying 'well if I could get some help' but honestly you can't have 10 people doing dishes and the fact is we all helped clear the table and put food away.  Anyway, a minor annoyance.  By the time we did open presents it was around 8/9pm, we were all almost ready to go to bed!  It was nice though.

My youngest brother and I both got Ipod Nanos (engraved with our names), which are really cool.  It's a 4gig Nano, not enough to hold ALL my music but I can get a good portion of them on there.  I've been working on converting most of my wvm files to iTunes compatible files.  I also got an external hard drive for my computer which will be great for putting all my photos, music, and any other files that are eating up my laptop's hard drive. 

It's kind of funny how much tech stuff one can accumulate.  Tonight, when I go through airport security I'll have my cell phone, digital camera, iPod, laptop, hard drive, memory stick, and a wireless card-- ALL essentials of course!   Other than techy/nerd things I also got some pjs, a little backpack, and little pouch with some makeup in it.  Oh and in case you're wondering my gifts were birthday/Christmas combos, every Christmas is not like this from my Dad.

Tomorrow it's to my Mom's house to celebrate Christmas with everyone.  I'm hoping that my Aunt, Uncle, and cousins will come over but I doubt they will.  That's the one thing that is kind of a bummer about coming down to AZ, we miss everyone else.  Don't get me wrong, it's nice to be here for Christmas with my Dad, but being around little kids (my sisters) just makes it a little bit more fun.  They get soo excited for it.

So this is totally random!  I had the weirdest dream... Not sure I should share as I don't want the secret service to come after me, but I had a dream that terrorists assinated Barbara Bush!  How weird and random is that??  It's a bit sketchy but from what I remember I didn't find out until late because I haven't been watching the news...  The whole nation was in shock because it was so wrong that someone would go after a grandmother and someone who does not hold a public office.  Anyway, that my sad, weird, and random dream.  I hardly remember dreams but for some reason this one really stuck to me.  Maybe it's because my Grandmother is here (in AZ) and we're kind of expecting this to be her last Christmas where she's able to really "be" with any of us as she has Alzheimers and is not doing so well.  I don't know... either way makes me sad.

And on that note, think it's time for me to go.  Think I'll see if Grandma would like to go for a walk and then start getting ready to leave for freezing Detroit.
